The influence of Street Art highlighted close to the Pont des Invalides
This new artistic hotspot, a floating barge comprising 1000 m2 of exhibition space spread over three levels and moored close to the Pont des Invalides, has finally opened after four years of work.
Fluctuart, the world's first floating urban art centre, was born from the ‘Reinventing the Seine’ project and is dedicated to the unfettered creativity of the greatest street art artists from all over the world.
Fluctuart highlights all trends in street art from the pioneers of the genre to contemporary creators and especially those who have stood out from the rest due to their skills and talent for innovation. Here, the public can discover both rising stars of the scene and world-renowned artists.
Exhibitions, cultural spaces and a true experience
The aim of this free cultural venue is to make urban art accessible to all via a rich and varied programme. You will find, among other attractions, a specialist bookstore, a permanent exhibition and three major temporary exhibitions following the evolution of urban art. Fluctuart opened with Swoon, a famous street artist committed to social rights. Her exhibition, called Time Capsule, can be seen until September 22nd.
In addition, Fluctuart offers creative workshops and cultural events in which professionals from the world of arts and culture participate. There is also a rooftop area with a bar & eatery, around which events evenings take place. Fluctuart is more a life experience than a gallery.
