The Christmas illuminations on the Champs-Elysees are always a real treat, and an exciting new design has been unveiled for 2015. ‘Scintillance’, designed by French company Blachère Illuminations is both spectacular and environmentally friendly. You’ll be captivated by the shimmering garlands of LED’S which decorate the 200 famous plane trees and transform the world’s most beautiful avenue into a fairy tale winter wonderland.

The exquisite ‘Scintillance’ light theme creates the perfect backdrop for one of the city’s most popular festive attractions. The Champs-Elysees Christmas Village will thrill the whole family, and over 15 million people will visit between now and January 4th 2015. Children will love meeting Santa who is at the market in his sleigh each day, and the fun fair with its Christmas Train is certain to make them smile. Be sure to take a ride on the Great Wheel at Place de la Concorde. The giant Ferris wheel is a popular feature of Christmas in Paris, and is a fun way to experience spectacular views of the city.
Plan a day at the ice rink at the Grand Palais from December 13th to January 4th. It’s the biggest temporary ice rink in France and the setting is magnificent. Discover one of the city’s most beautiful monuments from a completely new perspective as you skate in the amazing Great Hall of Mirrors, enjoy superb light shows and entertainment daily till 2 a.m. or simply gaze at the vaulted ceilings and impressive décor over a hot chocolate from one of the booths.
