Mickey's Magical Fireworks and Bonfire

This enchanting spectacle of sound and light is not only for children; adults also love Mickey's Magical Fireworks and Bonfire, which takes place from November 3rd to 7th. Access to Lake Disney, close to the park, will be free for this wonderful family show. When you get there, you’ll see the lake transformed into a magical scene in which music accompanies the fireworks and special lighting effects. There’s even a Bonfire Night celebration inspired by the traditional English festival that is held annually on November 5th throughout the UK. Disney’s nod to this festive occasion is as awe-inspiring as you would expect, as a gigantic bonfire is set alight on the lake. Tradition meets the world of dreams and wonder, thanks to the magic of Disney.

Salvador Dali at work in the heart of Montmartre

Known as the Master of Surrealism, Salvador Dali (1904 to 1989) was a genius at inviting those who come to view his work to embark on a ‘stationary journey.’ You, too, can take that journey while you’re in Paris, courtesy of the Espace Dali (Dali museum), a permanent exhibition devoted to the artist that is situated in the artistic haven of Montmartre, where Dali once lived. Here, near the Place du Tertre, you can find some 300 original works, as well as three-dimensional sculptures of some of the artist’s best-known Surrealist paintings, including the famous melting watches found in The Persistence of Memory. Erotic drawings, curious furniture, theatrical sculptures and even representations of dreams comprise the irresistibly imaginative, mischievously amusing and extravagant works of Dali.

Currently at the Espace Dali you can also enjoy A Second Before Awakening, an exhibition of the work of the comics artist and film director Joann Sfar, which imagines the scenario of an artistic encounter with Dali. Original drawings will be juxtaposed with the haute couture creations of Schiaparelli that inspired the artist. Come and see how Dali found inspiration in mythology, religion, literature and science and wonder again how he transformed the elements of life through the alchemy of his imagination. The Espace Dali is open most days of the year from 10:00 to 18:00. During July and August the opening times are extended until 20:00.
