A mosaic of colour and music
Mamma Mia! takes you under the sun of the Greek islands for a touching story of love and friendship. Donna settled on a small island twenty years ago and runs a family hotel with her daughter, Sophie, who is planning to get married. During the preparations, Sophie decides to invite the three men who could be her father. Meanwhile, Donna welcomes her two lifelong friends with whom she once sang and danced. The wedding certainly promises to be lively. Along the way, the timeless pop classics of ABBA provide commentary on the action.
A legendary venue
The Casino de Paris took its current form in the Roaring Twenties. The triumphs of music hall followed one after, featuring legends ranging from Joséphine Baker to Mistinguett via Maurice Chevalier and Tino Rossi. Closer to our own time, Gainsbourg, Dutronc, and Souchon, as well as Coldplay, Muse, and Lou Reed, and comedians such as Debbouze, Dubosc, Gerra and Robin, have all added to the lustrous legend that is the Casino de Paris. Many musical shows such as Le Soldat Rose, Starmania, Chicago and The Little Prince have also graced this great venue’s stage. So, Mamma Mia! is certainly in excellent company!
